Lagoon Watersports in Port Vell, Barcelona
Lagoon Watersports are extremely excited to announce that we have berths for 3 boats in Port Vell, central Barcelona. We have just moved our Bavaria 37, Nelson 42 and our RIB from Port Badalona to Port Vell. We are unbelievably fortunate to have secured these berths in Port Vell which is located in the heart of the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona. Since 2010 Port Vell has been undergoing huge transformations with significant investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure, new seven-star services and facilities that will position the marina as one of the leading superyacht destinations in the world. The proposed new marina layout, to be finished towards the end of this year, will provide 162 berths accommodating yachts up to 120 metres.
Port Vell is of course located against the backdrop of one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in Europe, famous for its climate, culture, architecture, design, beaches, nightlife and cuisine. Barcelona is almost impossible to exhaust and even on a lengthy visit you will be likely to only scratch the surface on what it has to offer both day and night. Set right on the coast with warm sunshine most of the year this area of Spain boasts superb sailing conditions. Central to just about everything, and where the city meets the sea, Port Vell is the perfect place to start your RYA training or water sport activity with Lagoon Watersports. We will be offering a variety of RYA training and activities from Port Vell including:
RYA Yacht Courses: RYA Competent Crew, RYA Day Skipper to RYA Yachtmaster.
RYA Powerboat Courses: RYA Powerboat Level 2
RYA Motorcruiser Courses: RYA Dayskipper & RYA Yachtmaster
RYA PWC (Jet Skis): RYA Personal Watercraft Proficiency to RYA Instructors
Water Sport Activities & Charters Include: 2 hour sailing sessions, 30 minute high speed powerboat rides, as well as bareboat and skippered yacht charters, powerboat charters and motor cruiser charters.
Corporate & Group Events: In addition we cater for bespoke corporate and group events including stag & hen events, which can incorporate just yachts, motorboats, powerboats or jet skis – or all of these exciting activities combined.
The shorter courses and activities will give you a chance to see Barcelona’ skyline from the big blue, aboard a yacht. Longer courses and activities will take you further afield and give you a chance to discover the wonderful ports and towns south towards Sitges and Tarragona or the stunning unspoilt rocky coastline, secluded coves and hidden villages, north along the beautiful Costa Brava. For those feeling more intrepid, the Balearic Islands of Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca and Formentera are accessible for longer passages. Either direction, these mediterranean locations include; warm sunny climates, superb sailing, power or motor conditions, delicious Spanish cuisine and apres sail – all of which equate to every sailors paradise and an unforgettable experience.
