Brighton Jet Skis Safari
Enjoy a high speed jet ski adventure off the Brighton coastline on our powerful state of the art personal watercraft. No license is required as you will be with our Personal Watercraft Instructor who will be leading the session on another jet ski or powerboat.
Our 2023 Seadoo Jet ski’s offer lots of seating space, advanced controls and incredible power and manoeuvrability. We have three jets skis and each jet ski can take up to two people. If you have a group bigger than four we can rotate you from our high speed RIB and two jet skis.
First you will have a briefing on the jet ski that will include: the controls, the driving and personal safety. Next you will be fitted out with impact vests, wetsuit and a kill cord. Departure will entail a short slow ride out of Brighton Marina. Once out on the open ocean with our fast RIB to follow, you will be powering up and sprinting toward Brighton Piers and beyond! For the hour long safari we plan time trails to see if you have that competitive edge?!

Course Objective:
Fun and thrills on the water with our exciting jet skis.
Prerequisite:
Adults 18+ for driving, age 12+ for riding, with parental consent.
Duration:
75 mins including safety briefing and tuition
Please arrive 15 minutes before your session to get changed and ready.
Health and Safety:
These are powerful machines and safety is very important to us. The machines, Brighton Marina, other boaters or swimmers are to be respected at all times. Riders must also respect the instructions and decisions made by our skippers. Speeding at the wrong times and locations or dangerous behaviour will mean that the riders will automatically have to turn back to the marina.
Suitability:
This jet ski ride is not suitable for people with back problems. There is max weight limits on the skis, if you are over 120 kg then you should solo on one ski. In the event of capsize you should be able to pull yourself back onto the ski.
Weather Conditions:
Please note that we are at the mercy of the elements and if it is deemed too windy or rough, for safety reasons we may have to reschedule your jet ski ride. Sorry we cannot refund due to weather and only reschedule

We have two centres in Brighton. This activity take place from Lagoon Watersports in Brighton Marina DO NOT go to Lagoon Watersports, Hove Lagoon. If you are taking a taxi please make this clear to the driver.
Finding Brighton Boating once you are in Brighton Marina
Head towards the waterfront where you will see all the cafes and restaurants. Walk to the end of the boarded walk way where there will be a large bridge heading down towards the pontoons. We are the first set of pontoons on the right. Pontoon 6.
To Brighton Marina by car
Approaching the marina from the A27 take the B2123. Turn right at first set of traffic lights, signposted Brighton Town Centre, Racecourse and Marina Village. Turn left at second set of traffic lights, pass the Racecourse and follow the signs for the Marina Village where there is free parking for 1500 cars in the multi-storey car park. From the car park you can either go across a linking bridge on level 6 or from the ground floor of the car park towards all the waterfront cafes and bars. Walk to the end of the boarded walk way where there will be a large ramp heading down towards the pontoons. We are the first set of pontoons on the right. Pontoon 6.
By Bus
Brighton and Hove bus service operates a number 7 bus approximately every 15 minutes 24 hours a day, from Brighton Town Centre (North Street or Queens Road), to the Marina Village.
By Bike
Brighton Marina has a bike share station which is either pay per minute or a yearly membership, go to https://www.btnbikeshare.com for more information. For your own bike, racks are available on the main concourses of the pontoons. You must use the racks and not leave bikes on the pontoons otherwise Premier Marina will take them away.
On foot
Brighton Marina is a pleasant walk along the seafront from the centre of Brighton, it is 20 minutes walk from the main West Pier. During the summer you will also find the Volks electric railway operates along the front.
By train
The nearest main line station is Brighton with regular connections to Chichester, Portsmouth and London is under an hour away. nationalrail.co.uk
By Air
Brighton is within easy reach of Heathrow and Gatwick international airports. Follow the A23 from Gatwick to Brighton. Shoreham airport is also available for private light aircraft.
What to bring
- Swim ware to wear under the wetsuit and a towel
- If you wear glasses or want to wear sunglasses you must have a retainer
- Skis have a waterproof locker for phones
- Please note that we only have limited lockers for putting valuables in, so please minimise these as much as possible
Yachting
On our yacht courses we use either our Beneteau 36.7 or Beneteau First 35, these are cruiser/racers with great performance – perfect for learning and RYA courses. They are commercially coded with safety equipment to the highest standard.
Sailing
We also offer sailing courses in our smaller Delphia 24 keelboats, These 8 metre performance boats are used for racing and day sailing, very responsive boats for our RYA sailing courses.
If you would like more practice after your yacht courses or RYA Sailing Level 2 we offer:
- Sailing Clinics – at weekends from 1600 till 1800 for £40
- Racing – is a great way to practice too, we have boats entered in popular races like Round Island Race, Royal Escape or even mini races on our clinic nights

All bookings subject to these Terms and Conditions
By submitting your booking you represent to us that you have the authority to make the booking on behalf of your party and that you accept on behalf of your party that the booking is subject to these Terms and Conditions. A contract exists as soon as we issue our Booking Confirmation Form.
You should check the details of your confirmation carefully and promptly to ensure that it accurately reflects the booking you have requested. You should immediately inform us of any discrepancies or alterations. If the course/event date is less than 14 days from the date of issue of the Booking Confirmation Form, notification of any discrepancies or alterations should be made within 24 hours of that date of acceptance. In all other cases, you should notify us within 7 working days of receipt of the Booking Confirmation Form.
Postponement due to COVID-19
If you are required to self isolate via government guidelines you can reschedule you booking to a later date within our schedule availability. No refunds are available due to COVID
Prices
All course/event prices are subject to change. However, once you have made your booking and paid a course/event deposit (25% of the course/event price subject to a minimum deposit of £99 or the price of the course/event if less) against the price of your course/event the price will not normally be subject to any change (invoice errors or omissions excepted). The balance of the price of the course/event must be paid at least 4 weeks before the course/event commencement date (or paid with order if the course/event is less than 8 weeks after the booking date).
Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers are valid for 24 months and no refunds are offered in any circumstances.
Rescheduling your dates
RYA Courses
Due limited availability you can only reschedule up to 14 days prior to the course start date to give us time to fill your place, within 14 days and up to 48 hours it will cost £99 to reschedule. Within 48 hours you will need to rebook at full cost of the session/Course
Zero to Dayskipper and Learn to Sail packages are allowed a maximum of 2 changes to dates without penalties, this must be at least 7 days prior to the course date otherwise a penalty fee of £75 will be incurred
Boating experiences trips, Powerboat ride, Jet Ski Safaris
Individuals booked onto boating experiences may reschedule up to 48 hours prior to the activity, within 48 hours you will loose your booking and given a 25% discount on rebooking
Cancellation charges
You may cancel with written notification from the lead name in your group.
The following cancellation fees apply :
- More than 4 weeks before course/event – loss of deposit or 25% of course/event fee
- Less than 4 weeks before course/event – 100% of price of course/event
Group changes in numbers
Group bookings confirm numbers 4 weeks prior to the event with the final balance. Any changes in numbers we will endeavour to accommodate, the following applies
Numbers increases up to 24 hours prior to the event will be accommodated as much as possible, priced per head
Number decreases up to 7 days prior to the event will be accommodated, but where this reduce your group size below 6 persons you will need to pay for 6 persons. Session durations might vary depending on changes to group sizes
Cancellation by Lagoon Watersports
RYA Courses
If we need to cancel due to Instructor availability, damaged equipment or engine failure or weather conditions/Sea State we will give you as much notice as possible and offer new dates to complete the course.
Boating experiences trips, Powerboat ride, Jet Ski Safaris
If we need to cancel due to Instructor availability, damaged equipment, engine failure or weather conditions/Sea State we will do all we can to arrange another suitable date, if we cannot provide suitable availability then you will be offered a full refund
Force Majeure – In circumstances out of our control we will endeavour to rebook and hold credit for any activity in the future with a two year expiry
Photo & video usage
We frequently take photos and video of customers, both adults and under 16’s. We reserve the right to use these in our brochures, social media and in any other promotional material. If you wish to opt out please email info@lagoonwatersports.co.uk
Damage or loss
Lagoon Watersports is under no liability whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to property, however caused. Lagoon Watersports is not responsible for any repairs or replacements of equipment which may be needed from damage caused during your session on the water. We recommend that you take out appropriate insurance cover yourselves for such uninsured losses.
Should damage or loss to vessels, persons or equipment be caused as a result of wilful damage or gross negligence by a customers, a customer under the influence of alcohol or drugs or as a result of refusal or failure to obey instructions given by our staff, then he or she will be liable for the full amount of repair or replacement and any resulting costs. The course/event leader reserves the right to terminate the course/event. Adults will at all times be responsible for minors in their charge. Our vessels and crew are fully insured. Our policy provides full cover for the equipment and vessels and third party liability cover for your course/event leader and crew. However we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any person caused other than through our negligence or breach of contract.
Complaints
At each centre we have a Duty Manager who is always available to deal with any issues arising from your activity, it is essential you raise any issues during your course/activity so they can be dealt with immediately. For the RYA courses you are also able to contact the RYA directly with any complaints. Both company directors are also available to help ensure your experience with Lagoon Watersports is a positive one.
