Viva Barcelona Watersports!
An exciting opportunity came up for Lagoon Watersports to expand in Barcelona and owners Seb and Harvey jumped at the chance!
In this new and exciting venture we have additional business partner – Robert Craig. Rob met Seb as a client on a RYA yachting course Seb was running from Barcelona in 2006 – After a few beers bonding over rugby and sailing – a friendship blossomed! Rob runs “Explore Catalunya,” a successful tour company in Barcelona.
Seb and Rob have been hatching a plan to combine businesses and buy their own boat so that they can offer sailing tours, bareboat charter and RYA tuition from Barcelona. After numerous conversations and trips to Spain – hey, presto – On January 7th 2013 Seb and Harvey flew to Barcelona and set up “Barcelona Watersports”, with third business partner, Robert Craig. We are proud to announce that we have ownership of a 37ft Bavaria and a 6 metre Xpro black rib moored in Port Badalona.
In February 2013 an RYA Inspector flew out and passed us as a RYA Sailing & Powerboat Centre. From May we will be running:
* RYA Yacht Courses: Start Yachting, Competent Crew, Dayskipper, Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster
* RYA Powerboating: Powerboating Level 1 & 2 courses plus the International Certificate of Competence(ICC)
* Balearic Island and Costa Brava sailing/mile building trips
* Bareboat Charters
* 2 hour Yacht Tasters
