Ocean Blend – Yacht Sail, Jet Ski & Powerboat

A classy and stylish event

Our Ocean Blend is a fantastic group event that combines a sailing trip, powerboat ride and jet ski blast – making this an event suited to all tastes. Participate in sailing, the thrills of powerboating and jet skiing from a great location and you will experience an unbeatable and unforgettable day out!

Yacht Sailing:

We will take you out as a total beginner and give you a taste of what yachting is all about. After a short briefing with the skipper you will motor out of the marina and then get busy hosting the sails. The session can be spent getting to grips with sailing basics under the watchful eye of one of our Yachtmaster’s, or you can just sit back and relax whilst sailing along the sussex coastline.

Powerboat & Jet Skis:

Our jet skis and high speed powerboat RIB are seriously fast and fun – but be warned – they need to be handled with care! These power machines are a must do activity from Brighton, giving you the chance to see all the wonderful sights whilst practicing some tricky manoeuvres at speed!

What an amazing experience! Thanks so much to Ash and the team for the Jet ski session – truly remarkable!! Can’t wait to get back into it!!!

Barry Hodges

It was just fantastic! I was crashing through the waves getting air and everything!Just want to add the chap who took us out was so polite and very professional, just the best service!I know it seems pricey however their overheads must be enormous, so more than happy to pay. The experience was absolutely worth it!

    FAQ’s

The marina is full of restaurants so you are spoilt for choice, plus it has a large supermarket. For a comprehensive guide of restaurants in the Marina go to: www.brightonmarina.co.uk/brighton-marina-attractions/eat-and-drink

Lagoon Watersports originated at Hove Lagoon and specialized in windsurfing. As the Lagoon became more successful owners Harvey and Sebastian realised that we needed a centre with direct access to the sea for sailing and powerboating. Sebastian set up Lagoon Watersports in Brighton Marina in 2000

Lagoon Watersports in Brighton Marina offer: Keelboat sailing, yacht sailing, powerboating and jet skis. We offer RYA tuition as well as trips and rides for corporates, groups and Hen & Stag parties.

We offer, yacht trips and charters, sailing regatta races, powerboat and jetski rides.

Brighton Marina is set against a backdrop of white cliffs on the East Sussex coastline, just half a mile east of Brighton. Brighton Marina is the largest marina in the UK and has plenty to do for all ages, within its picturesque waterfront surroundings. The superb facilities include an array of shops, restaurants, bars, hotel, a multi complex cinema, bowling alley and even a casino for some après sail and team bonding! Combine an unbeatable location with exciting activities on the water, run by a professional team and you really will experience an incredible day out!

Subject to availability all group activities can be booked at a date/times that suit you.

We provide specialist equipment. In the winter months it can be cold, thermals, fleeces, woolly hats are all useful to have. During the summer months bring sun hats, sun block and sun glasses. Quick drying clothes can be very practical instead of jeans and good none slip, non marking footwear. Trainers often work well. We hire out our Musto waterproofs if required. Bring a swim suit and towel if weather conditions are suitable and you fancy a swim. For the jet skis wetsuits are provided, if you have your own, please bring it.

For the sailing trips you are welcome to bring drinks (except red wine), there is a large fridge onboard the yacht. For snacks just bear in mind the motion of the boat so it is not practical to lay out food.

To drive a jet ski you need to be 16+. Powerboat rides as a guide are 12+. We do not recommend pregnant women or persons with bad backs to partake in the jet ski or powerboat rides.

The superbly situated Malmaison Brighton hotel very close to Lagoon Watersports, boasts lovely bedrooms with a brasserie and sea-views. If you would like a cheaper alternative there are apartments to rent in the marina or B&Bs near to Brighton Marina in Kemptown. Airbnb or bookings.com are good sites to find apartments and B&Bs.

Part of the enjoyment of our activities out on the ocean is being in the elements, so it is important to be versatile to make the best of the conditions. If we cannot run an activity on a day due to weather conditions and high winds we are fortunate that we can move your activity to Hove Lagoon (4 miles away) where our inland lagoon next to the beach will give shelter for an alternative activity. We cannot refund any event unless we cannot offer any alternative activity or find suitable alternative dates.

Yes, we run all these events from Barcelona. For more information go to: www.barcelonawatersports.es

We have an experienced and professional team of instructors that teach: RYA Sailing Level 1, RYA Sailing Level 2 and RYA Sailing Level 3.

Our sailing courses are run on our 24ft Delphia Keelboats. A Keelboat is a step up in size from dinghies, more like a small manageable yacht but not as big as a cruising yacht. They can bridge the gap between dinghies and cruisers, offering many benefits of both, to the adult beginner. Yacht sailing is on bigger sailing yacht and requires different more intensive training, such as; RYA Competent Crew and RYA Dayskipper.

The two day RYA Sailing Level 1

Our "Learn to Sail" course is run over two weekends and covers RYA Sailing Level 1 and Level 2. By the end you should be able to take a small sail boat out to sea confidently in light weather conditions.

Maximum 4 persons per boat. The instructor will be onboard for most of the training but they start to teach from the safety boat in the level 2 to give you more independence.

Over weekends, from March to October. We do also run one weekday courses and private tuition.

The courses start from our base in Brighton Marina: Pontoon 6, Brighton Marina, Brighton, East Sussex BN2 5UP, UK.

Part of the enjoyment of sailing is being out in the elements, so it is important to be versatile to make the best of the conditions. If we cannot sail on a day due to weather conditions we will endeavour to cover theory and other useful skills such as mooring practice, rigging and de-rigging. At times we might cut short a course in which case you will be offered further day/s/times at another suitable date.

We have our Coastal Sailing Club, that gives regular access to the water with clinics and racing for members. For more information go on our Coastal Sailing Club
